Hercules 6KG ABC Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher (SETSCO Approved)
The Hercules FT01-06A-00 6KG ABC dry powder fire extinguisher is designed for high occupation hazard and large industrial areas, offering a 43A:233B fire rating and supplied complete with a wall bracket for secure mounting. It is approved to the Singapore Fire Code and BSI Kitemark, providing reliable protection where significant Class A and Class B fire risks are present.
Suitable for demanding environments such as exhibition areas, furniture showrooms, wood-working premises, vehicle repair workshops, aircraft hangars and high-bay warehouses (4 m or higher), this extinguisher is built to handle severe fire loads. It is also commonly referred to in Singapore as an AB dry powder fire extinguisher.
Tested to handle multiple fire classes, the unit is effective on Class A fires involving combustibles such as wood, furniture and plastics, Class B fires involving flammable liquids like paint and thinner, and Class C fires involving flammable gases such as LPG, as well as Class E electrical fires (excluding lithium battery fires). For Class C and E situations, the heat source should first be isolated by shutting off the gas or electrical supply before using the extinguisher, in line with SCDF guidance.
Filled with dry powder and propelled by nitrogen, the Hercules 6KG unit delivers a discharge distance of more than 4 metres and an approximate discharge time of 12 seconds, helping users tackle fires from a safer working distance. The rugged cylinder design and tested pressures support performance in demanding industrial and commercial settings.

Safety Note:
Always ensure you have a clear escape route before using any fire extinguisher and operate from a safe distance. Remember the PASS method – Pull the pin, Aim at the base of the fire, Squeeze the lever and Sweep side to side – and, for gas and electrical fires, turn off the supply first before attempting to extinguish any remaining flames.
