The Firecloak EV Car Fire Blanket (DSH) is a UK-manufactured fire containment solution designed for electric and hybrid vehicles up to SUV size. Constructed from silica quartz fabric treated with a fire-retardant coating, it provides exceptional resistance to high temperatures of up to 1,000°C. This large 8x6 metre blanket is supplied with a waterproof holdall bag featuring convenient carrying handles for easy transport and storage.

Ideal for containing lithium battery fires, the blanket suppresses combustion by cutting off oxygen, rapidly reducing temperature and limiting damage to nearby property. With its robust tensile strength and certified material performance, it offers reliability in demanding fire safety situations.

Note: EV fires may exceed 1,300°C at the core; however, surface temperatures are significantly lower. Once deployed, the blanket effectively limits oxygen exposure, enabling it to perform within its tested fire resistance ratings.
