PIG® Oil-Only Absorbent Boom BOM405

The PIG® Oil-Only Absorbent Boom BOM405 is designed to confine and absorb oil and fuel spills on water, providing reliable spill control in marine and outdoor environments. Each boom floats at the surface for easy retrieval and absorbs oil-based liquids without taking in water.

Constructed with a tough, UV-resistant outer mesh and spunbond polypropylene skin, these booms allow fluids to pass quickly to the absorbent filler while maintaining durability for long-term outdoor use. A rope running the full length of each boom withstands loads of up to 400 lb, adding strength during deployment and recovery. Zinc-plated carbon steel clips and rings allow multiple booms to be linked together for extended coverage. The bright white colour improves visibility and clearly indicates saturation levels. These booms can also be used on land and incinerated after use to help reduce waste.
