PIG BOM409 Oil-Only Absorbent Booms (20cm x 6m, 2/Bag)
PIG BOM409 oil-only absorbent booms are designed to control oil spills on land or water, using field-proven performance to confine and soak up oil-based liquids without absorbing water. They float to contain spills on water and hug the ground for land-based spills, while the tough outer mesh and spunbond polypropylene skin provide UV resistance for extended outdoor use.
Built for deployment and retrieval, each boom includes a rope running along its length that withstands up to 182kg loads, plus zinc-plated carbon steel rings and clips to link booms together for longer coverage. The bright white colour improves visibility outdoors and helps indicate saturation level. Each bag contains 2 booms with total absorbency up to 181.6 L per bag.

Usage Note (Sea Conditions)
In sea-weather conditions with wind speed >5 knots and perpendicular water-current speed >2 knots, absorbent booms may submerge and allow oil to pass over. Waves higher than the boom’s freeboard can also push oil over; optimal use is typically Beaufort Scale #2 or less.
